Jon was raised in the Valley and graduated Valedictorian from Los Fresnos High School in 1993, after which he attended Texas A&M University in College Station from 1994 to 1999. Upon graduation from Texas A&M with a B.B.A degree in Management Information Systems, he went on to work for a telecommunications software company in Dallas, Texas from 1999 to 2000.
